Warm Welcome for New First Years at Colaiste Iosagain , Portarlington .

A record number of two hundred and ten new First Years have just started their secondary education at Colaiste Iosagain , Portarlington . They seem to be settling in exceptionally well , helped in no small measure by the Meitheal team of Sixth Years , who for many years now have been volunteering to help their younger schoolmates feel more at home .Coordinator, French and Irish teacher , Terry Fitzpatrick ensures the Meitheal team are well trained in preparation for their vital role and indeed they attend a course in Castletown , Co. Laois to help in this regard .A program of lunchtime sports , games , movies etc is already under way for the largest ever First Year group to enroll in the school .
