Colaiste Iosagain , Takes Part in National BIG TRAVEL CHALLENGE .

The aim is to improve the number of students walking to school over a
10 weekday period from the 8th of February to the 26th 2016.
(excluding midterm 15th – 19th February).

This project will help promote a more sustainable mode of transport to
our school and in our community. It will also help students get
active, meet new friends and become more independent.

On Friday the 26th February an event will be held called
‘Funky Friday Feet’. Students will be encouraged to wear funky shoes /
runners if they walk to school.

To encourage all students to get involved designated
drop off and start points will be set up for students who walk to school but usually
travel by car. SuperValu has come on board as the designated drop off
point.
Students who travel by bus can walk to and from their bus stop to get involved.

Prizes are on offer for the person who walks the most over the ten
days and the class who walks the most.
