Our school community were delighted to welcome Sr. Elizabeth Maxwell representing the Presentation Sisters & Mr Gerry Watchorn from CEIST to our school to celebrate CEILIÚRADH CEIST Day.
Our guests observed students participating in a CEIST Quiz. Followed by raising the CEIST Flag. This year's theme of "Home, School & Parish working together" was beautifully promoted with a flag from each of the thirty two countries represented within our school community. Students used the flags to create the CEIST logo which emphasises our values of compassion, justice, love, tolerance, forgiveness and reconciliation.
Our celebration concluded with Ms Margaret Nolan reciting our CEIST Prayer followed by our choir singing Siyahamba. Thank you to all the students and staff who were involved in this very meaningful celebration.
A Special thanks to Ms Carol Brown for her creative work with our international students. Thanks also to Ms Catherine Rafferty & Mr David O'Reilly who guided our choir and Trad group.
Congratulations to our fellow CEIST schools throughout the country who were also celebrating today.
