On Thursday the 15th of May over 100 Transition Year students, along with their parents and teachers gathered in Coláiste Íosagáin to celebrate the TY Graduation 2025.
The students’ hard work and dedication to the Transition Year Programme was acknowledged and commended on the night.
The ceremony was student-led. Speakers on the night delivered anecdotes and insights into memorable moments from the year, including the Barcelona and Killary trips and the Lip Sync Battle. A graduation message that referenced Coláiste Íosagáin’s long history with and support of Altruism was also shared with the students.
Graduates received certificates for the many courses and modules completed throughout the year and awards were given in different categories.
The “TY Student of the Year” award was presented to Hazel Fitzpatrick and Adam O’Dea by the principal, Mr. Justin Brown.
Both students were nominated for this award as they are role models for others. They are inclusive, determined, show leadership, support school activities and create community.
