Second Year Science students visited Birr Castle accompanied by Deputy Principal McGlynn , teachers Mairead Bergin , Eimear Cribbin , Caoimhe Farrell ,John Heraty and and SNA Lisa O’Gorman

The treehouse was popular with children (and staff!) of all ages !

It mightnt look very impressive but the above is a radio telescope (it doesnt detect light rather it detects other types of waves) which can ’see’ much further into the universe than the Leviathan built by The Earl of Rosse
